PIT IN
PROPER PIT IN PROCEDURE
Notice that I do not take Turn 10 (the right hander just after the video starts) real tight. Instead, I stay to the left edge of the track and signal shortly after Turn 10.
Also notice that I am accelerating out of Turn 10 when I give the first signal. This minimizes the chances of someone hitting you from behind because they are not aware that you are pitting in.
After I signal, I begin to slow down a little, and continue to stay close to the left edge of the track. I like to signal a second time just in case.
