Additional ARC Class infoPLEASE NOTE: This page is only for those that have already signed up. For general info about the ARC program, or to register, please click HERE. ------------------------------------------------ Here are some additional details to help ensure you the best experience possible before, at and after your Total Control Advanced Riding Clinic @ Tony’s Track Days! Class hours 8am - 5:30pm Class starts promptly at 8am in the lot near the central pit garage. I have attached a map with a red line, showing the way into the training area. 1. Arrive at the main entrance and sign the track’s waiver and get a bracelet to enter the property. 2. Go through the main gate, follow the road down around the grandstands and look for the Tunnels on the left. 3. Go through the tunnel and bear to the right. (This will put you in the infield) Follow that road all the way down until you see a small empty guard shack on the right, next to another fence opening. NOTE: On your left, you will pass a set of yellow garages and a large parking lot, with a large grey enclosed trailer cargo trailer in it. This is our range. If you are riding your bike to the track that day, you can simply ride directly into the range area. 4. If you tow your bike in, continue to the next set of garage buildings and you will see many trailers/bikes, truck, etc. You can pretty much park anywhere and get unloaded. Please watch for Tony’s Trackday Staff in bright Green shirts - they will be happy to assist you in unloading and pointing you towards our range. Tell them you are there for the ARC. 5. Once unloaded, please bring your bike and riding gear over to the range. We will be going over bikes for safety and adjusting tire pressures for the day prior to class start at 8am. Here's the photo... you will enter the track property in the bottom right corner, and follow the RED line. The BLACK line shows the "road course" that you will ride if you choose to also do a TRACK DAY.
LUNCH: We usually break for lunch at around 11:30. You are welcome to bring lunch in with you or you can purchase lunch on site for $10. WATER / GATORADE: There is usually some Water and Gatorade available, but please bring a few bottles of your own also. If you are not riding your bike to the event, we recommend bringing at least a gallon.
The following are requirements for Total Control ARC only. Please see Tony’s requirements for the trackday if you are signed up for that also (they are somewhat different): There is no special tech inspection, but all motorcycles should be in proper working order, including tires, cooling, charging systems, and a battery that is in good condition. Protective gear is required for all students, which includes a DOT-approved helmet in good condition (full-face recommended), motorcycle jacket and motorcycle pants, full-fingered gloves, boots that cover the ankles and eye protection. Kevlar jeans or chaps are accepted. Jeans and fingerless gloves are not allowed. Race compound tires are not permitted, even if they are DOT approved. If you are staying over to do the trackday the following day, we will be glad to help guide you through prepping your bike for trackday tech. Make sure you carefully read through the requirements. (they are minimal, but Important!) If you have registered for the trackday the day after your ARC class, you get an added benefit! Your ARC instructors will be on the track with you and can offer additional tips and feedback. If you have any concerns or questions please don’t hesitate to call my cell at (518) 810-4923. We will be arriving at the track the night before the first class to set up. You are welcome to arrive after 7pm the evening before the class, to unload and/or camp overnight. Thank you, John Colandrea |
