Couple of laps

BELOW is a link to a video of Ken following Tony on the Thunderbolt course. The video starts with us rolling down PIT OUT, and uses the second chicane only (the same configuration we'll be running).

Notice how we take a full lap to warm up the tires.  With only three real left turns, the right side of the tire can be warm and the left side still cold.  Once you go around that long left turn (#9) ... the tires should be good to go!  Doing an easy first lap also prevents your tires from "cold tearing", which will degrade the tire quickly.

Here's another video with John following Tony.  Once again we do a full warm-up lap.  Notice how we take our time through traffic and make clean, safe passes.  Also notice how much tracktime we have with no one in front of us.
