There are two tracks at the New Jersey Motorsports Park (NJMP) facility, and we run on the track called THUNDERBOLT - which is the "big" track. It is also the one they run the AMA races on so be sure to catch those races on TV. Thunderbolt is a fast, flowing track with a fairly long straight and several fast corners. The track is located in Millville, NJ on Dividing Hill Road.

Take a look at the map above to see where Thunderbolt is located within the NJMP complex. Thunderbolt is the track at the bottom .

Thunderbolt runs clockwise, with Turn 1 being at the bottom left. You'll notice that there are two chicanes that can be used on the left hand side. We use the first chicane only for PIT OUT (getting onto the track). The second chicane is used for normal laps.

ACCESS

Riders and Guests are generally allowed into the track around 6PM the night BEFORE day one.

You must arrive before 10PM to be allowed in the night before. Otherwise, you may enter starting around 7AM to 10AM each morning.

All participants and guests must sign a NJMP waiver at the registration building. If you plan to attend multiple events, you might want to speed things up by registering for a "fan pass" that you can just show each time you enter. Details on that are here:

The track has a limited number of hotel suites overlooking the front straight, right next to the garages. The cost for these are about $100 per night and include 2 queen beds. If you'd like to reserve one of these suites, please visit this page of the NJ track website.

ENTERING THE TRACK:

OK... After you sign in with the track personnel, you'll take a LEFT turn to head toward THUNDERBOLT. You'll then take a quick right, and follow that road over the bridge and inside the Thunderbolt track area.

The VIP suites mentioned above will be on your LEFT as you're looking at the garages. The suites are actually along the front straight, while the garages are perpendicular to it.

GARAGES:

There are plenty of garages available for use during the day, and you can leave your bike in there overnight if you're doing multiple days. The garages are not locked, so it is recommended that you bring a good lock for your bike. The fee is $15 for one day or $25 for two days (when you order your track day you can order garage space too).

FOOD:

There is a breakfast wagon open from 7am-Noon time for coffee and breakfast sandwiches. New for 2013, Lunch will be available in the Officers Club from 11:30 - 1:30. Lunch options will be burgers, dogs, brisket and chicken Caesar wraps with a bag of chips. Drinks can also be purchased.

Dinner Buffet and Happy Hour Social:

During our 2-day events, around 5:30pm after day one we invite everyone to join us in the officer's clubhouse for a Happy Hour. There is no charge to attend the happy hour, which has a "pay as you go" bar.

Then, around 7pm there is a delicious buffet in the officers clubhouse near turn 4. The buffet dinner is an additional cost that you select when you register.

In NEW JERSEY, we are running 4 groups. The BLACK group will be our most advanced group, and it has only one passing rule. There is no passing on the INSIDE from the Tip In point to the APEX. Passing Rules and Group Info can be found Here.
